Michael Jansen, Executive Chairman

Michael Jansen founded Satellier in May 2004 and led the company as its Chief Executive Officer from its inception until January 2010. Over 5 years, Michael oversaw the rapid growth of the company from a 15-person drafting studio operating from the basement of a furniture showroom into a multi-hundred-person strong global technology and services firm with offices in New Delhi, New York, London, Dubai, Manila, Shanghai, Hong Kong, San Francisco, and Chicago. In his new role as Executive Chairman, Mr. Jansen continues to guide and promote Satellier to the AECO industry globally, forging major business partnerships and developing new business lines for the company in countries around the world.

Today, Michael is a sought after industry leader and public speaker with numerous awards and accolades to his credit, and has been featured on CNN, CNBC, and myriads of business, technology, and AEC publications worldwide, including Architectural Record, ENR, Business Week, Domus, Contract Magazine, et. al. In 2007, Michael was awarded Building Design + Construction Magazine's prestigious “40 Under 40” award honoring top CEOs in the AEC industry under the age of 40. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), the Indian Institute of Architects, the AIA Offshore Outsourcing Taskforce, and is a founding member of the Building Smart Alliance, India Chapter. Michael speaks four languages; was educated at Yale and Cambridge; earned a Fulbright Scholarship to undertake research in India; studied art and architecture in China; has travelled to more than 70 countries; designs high-end, exotic furniture; and is an avid guitar player
